Plain-English commitments about how we handle your information and how we conduct ourselves.

Privacy notice

The organisation responsible for your information is Generation Next Initiative, Plot 749 Babatunde Atere Street, Omole Phase 2, Lagos. You can contact us at info@generationnextinitiative.org.

What we collect and why

  • Contact form: your name, email address, optional telephone number, type of enquiry and message, so that we can reply to you.
  • Mentor interest form: your name, email, telephone, location, current role, optional organisation, areas of expertise, motivation, experience, availability and an optional profile link, so that we can consider your interest in mentoring. We do not ask for identity documents or referees at this stage.
  • Programme updates: your name and email address, so that we can tell you when applications open.

Submissions are stored in the website's secure database and can be viewed only by authorised members of the Generation Next team who sign in to the staff area. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties except where we are required to by law or where it is necessary to protect someone from harm.

We keep records only for as long as they are needed for the purpose they were collected. You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to be contacted, by emailing info@generationnextinitiative.org or using the contact form.

Cookies

This website uses only the cookies and local storage that are strictly necessary for it to work, such as keeping an administrator signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

If privacy-respecting analytics or any non-essential cookies are added in future, a cookie consent banner will be shown and your choice will be respected before any non-essential cookie is set.

Terms of use

The content of this website is provided for general information about the Generation Next initiative. We take care to keep it accurate, but details such as event arrangements may change.

Taking part in Generation Next is developmental and voluntary. Submitting an interest form does not guarantee a place in a cohort or a mentoring match. Generation Next does not promise employment, funding or business success, and nothing on this site is an offer of any financial product or security. References to "investors" mean philanthropic funders, foundations, corporate social responsibility teams, sponsors and impact partners.

Content, names and images on this site remain the property of Generation Next or their respective owners and may not be reproduced without permission.

Safeguarding statement

Generation Next works with young adults, and the wellbeing of everyone involved matters to us. Mentors take part in orientation before they begin, agree session arrangements in advance, keep professional boundaries and maintain confidentiality.

Mentoring conversations are arranged through the programme, not through private arrangements. Behaviour that puts anyone at risk, including harassment, exploitation, discrimination or the misuse of a mentoring relationship, is not tolerated.

If you have a concern about the conduct of anyone involved in Generation Next, please report it through the contact form and select "Safeguarding" as the type of enquiry. We treat such reports seriously, confidentially and as a priority.

Accessibility

We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA good practice: clear semantic structure, full keyboard access, visible focus, sufficient colour contrast, labelled form fields, helpful error messages and meaningful alternative text for images.

If you find something on this site difficult to use, please tell us through the contact form and we will put it right.
